Privacy Policy

ScreenshotKit is designed as a browser-local tool. This policy explains what stays on your device and what is involved when you visit the site.

Last updated: July 18, 2026

1. Information we collect

ScreenshotKit has no application backend, accounts, advertising, authentication, or product analytics. We do not receive the images, text, project names, or editing choices you add to the editor.

2. Files and project data

Uploaded screenshots, background images, project settings, and generated thumbnails are processed in your browser and stored in its browser storage. Exports are rendered from the local canvas and packaged in your browser. They are not uploaded to ScreenshotKit.

3. Third-party services

The website host may process standard request information, such as an IP address, user agent, and request timestamp, to deliver and protect the site. ScreenshotKit does not add tracking cookies. External links, such as GitHub, are governed by their own privacy policies.

4. Changes to this policy

You control local project data through the Projects page. Deleting a project removes its ScreenshotKit records from browser storage. Clearing this site's browser storage removes all projects. Private browsing modes may discard data automatically when their session ends.

5. Contact

Questions or privacy concerns can be opened in the ScreenshotKit GitHub repository linked from this site. Do not include private screenshots or personal data in a public issue.

6. Policy changes

We may revise this policy if ScreenshotKit's data practices change. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
